Found Nestled in the backroom of the Pine Ridge Parkway Naples, Florida “Perkins Restaurant” a group of business people have their routine breakfast sales meeting. What separated this gathering form all the rest was the obvious upbeat enthusiastic attitude…this in sharp contrast from the doldrums of a still crashing US economy. Present at the meeting was Guardian Solar South-West’s Founder Tom Maroney and Co-Founder Deb Maroney joining them was Scott Ellis and his sales team members Ron Toombs, Seth Beaumont, Mike Taillefer and Crew Leader Master Electrician Paul DePari.

The Group’s enthusiasm peaked when Mr. Maroney focused everyone’s attention on the fact that, “the PV industry happens to be the fastest growing industry in the world, with a promising chance to remain in that position for the next 25 years!”  Maroney continued, “this is simple supply and demand folks”… and “with projected increased US consumer electricity demands at roughly four trillion watts (4-terawatts) per year coupled with an enormous growth rate of approximately 2.5% per year, that places our ultimate demand somewhere between 11 and 18 Terawatts by the year 2050” there is no wonder why PV has the US consumers’ attention. Maroney chuckles “when was the last time you wanted to give your power company a great big hug of thanks?”

Maroney ended his presentation by saying that “Photovoltaic and Thermal Hot Water Systems are currently the best alternative energy source to help our customers lower and in some cases eliminate their energy bills both at home and at their businesses to date”.
